Explosion rocks Jos catholic church

Many people were feared  dead on Sunday following a fresh suicide bomb attack at St. Finbar’s Catholic Church in Rayfield Part of Jos.
Rayfield is a Government Reservation Area, harbouring the state Government House and residents of  many serving and retired public officers.
But the explosion has ignited spontaneous riot in the Plateau State capital. The Nation gathered that the blast occurred in the middle of service at the Catholic Church.
Eye witnesses’ accounts claimed that the blast pierced the church and brought down a section of its roof.
One of them said: “It was a suicide bomb. The lone suicide bomber attacked the church when the service was on. “Many worshippers were hit and they were being feared dead.” The Director of Press to the Governor, Mr. Mannok James confirmed the incident.
He said: “We do not know the casualty figures yet.”
